Carco Industries Adds Thunder Creek Fuel & Lube Truck Upfits to Its Lineup
September 2026
Pella, IA – Carco Industries has added Thunder Creek Equipment’s MTU and SLU truck upfits to its product lineup, expanding the mobile fueling and preventative maintenance solutions available through its Phoenix, AZ and Portland, OR locations. Founded in 1973, Carco designs and manufactures custom and work-ready fuel, lube, service, and mechanics trucks for customers in the construction, mining, and heavy equipment industries.
Thunder Creek equipment available through Carco Industries includes the No-HAZMAT Fuel Truck Upfit (MTU) and the Service & Lube Upfit (SLU). Together, the platforms provide truck-based options for mobile fueling, preventative maintenance, and hybrid fuel and lube applications.
The MTU uses a series of isolated 115-gallon tanks to transport up to 920 gallons of diesel without requiring a HAZMAT endorsement, while the SLU can be configured to carry diesel, DEF, oils, coolant, grease, and used fluid reclaim. Both are available on non-CDL truck platforms, making them accessible to a broader range of employees while allowing customers to match the truck’s capabilities to their equipment and maintenance needs.
These products bring fuel, service fluids, and preventative maintenance capabilities directly to equipment in the field. This helps customers reduce trips to and from the shop, keep equipment on the jobsite, and gain more control over routine fueling and maintenance.
“Carco has spent decades building fuel, lube, and service trucks around the way our customers work,” said Shane McDermott, President, Carco Industries. “Adding Thunder Creek gives us proven, work-ready options for customers who need a highly mobile truck platform for fueling, preventative maintenance, or both. The MTU and SLU complement the custom solutions we already provide and allow us to match more customers with the right level of capability.”
By adding Thunder Creek truck upfits, Carco Industries will provide customers with additional options for supporting equipment working across construction sites, mines, equipment yards, and other demanding environments.
“Carco Industries brings extensive experience designing and building truck-based fueling and service solutions,” said Larry Lea, Vice President of Sales, Thunder Creek Equipment. “Their team understands the equipment, chassis, and application considerations that go into building an effective field-support truck. That expertise makes them a strong partner for Thunder Creek and the customers we serve.”
