The Thunder Creek Story

LDJ Manufacturing, Inc. was established in the picturesque town of Pella, Iowa by Loren and Jean VanWyk with their sons Chad and Luke in the mid-1990s. This small-scale fabrication venture served to amplify the earnings of their family farm business and would sow the seeds of something new and remarkable.

In 2009, LDJ Manufacturing gave rise to the Thunder Creek brand. With great resolve, we embarked on a mission to present farmers with a safer, more efficient solution for fuel transportation. This determination laid the foundation of the company's future and would prove to be a pivotal moment in a journey leading to widespread acclaim for unparalleled quality and a reputation of dependability within the agricultural market.

Fueled by a drive for innovation, our product offerings grew to encompass daily fluid and preventative maintenance as well as trailer and truck upfit solutions tailored to cater to professionals across a variety of industries including construction, disaster relief, fleet maintenance, fuel distribution, logging, oil and gas, rental services, road and bridge operations, and municipal services.

In 2022, we began an exciting transformation, transitioning into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company.
