The Thunder Creek Story

LDJ Manufacturing, Inc. was established in the picturesque town of Pella, Iowa by Loren and Jean VanWyk with their sons Chad and Luke in the mid-1990s. This small-scale fabrication venture served to amplify the earnings of their family farm business and would sow the seeds of something new and remarkable.

In 2009, LDJ Manufacturing gave rise to the Thunder Creek brand. With great resolve, we embarked on a mission to present farmers with a safer, more efficient solution for fuel transportation. This determination laid the foundation of the company's future and would prove to be a pivotal moment in a journey leading to widespread acclaim for unparalleled quality and a reputation of dependability within the agricultural market.

Fueled by a drive for innovation, our product offerings grew to encompass daily fluid and preventative maintenance as well as trailer and truck upfit solutions tailored to cater to professionals across a variety of industries including construction, disaster relief, fleet maintenance, fuel distribution, logging, oil and gas, rental services, road and bridge operations, and municipal services.

Today, LDJ Manufacturing continues to be an emblem of ingenuity, crafting top-tier fuel and service equipment that propels a diverse range of professionals across the ag and construction sectors forward. In 2022, we began an exciting transformation, transitioning into an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) company. This pivotal shift has woven an even stronger bond between us and our work, for every member of our workforce now holds a tangible stake in the excellence we consistently deliver.

As employee-owners, our commitment is not just professional — it's deeply personal. This shared sense of ownership drives our collective dedication — it propels us to elevate industries that both feed and build our nation. The success of our business now directly intertwines with the prosperity of our dedicated workforce - a synergy that infuses every endeavor with an unwavering spirit of collaboration and accomplishment.

We welcome you to Thunder Creek Equipment, where LDJ Manufacturing's innovative spirit fuels progress, quality, and the empowerment of every single person who contributes to our shared success.
