Thunder Creek Equipment Hires Schreur to Lead Engineering, Product Development and Quality Teams
Pella, IA – Thunder Creek Equipment and its parent company, LDJ Manufacturing, today announced the hiring of Seth Schreur as the company’s new Vice President of Engineering. Schreur joins the Thunder Creek leadership team after working as the director of engineering for Precision Food Innovations (PFI), a manufacturer of specialized equipment for the food production industry. He also spent more than five years as an engineering manager at Vermeer Corporation, and more than a decade in various managerial and engineering roles at Pella Corporation.
“Seth brings more than 20 years of engineering, managerial, and product development leadership to Thunder Creek at a time where we will continue leading and innovating from the front of the category,” said Ben Cox, president of Thunder Creek and LDJ Manufacturing. “His servant leadership style and high character also make him a great fit with the values of Thunder Creek and LDJ.”
During his time at PFI, Schreur was responsible for all R&D functions and helped streamline the company’s integration with a sister organization after an acquisition by Precision, Inc. Those responsibilities included process improvement across IT, manufacturing, sales, and purchasing groups, as well as developing engineering standards and organizational systems.

Schreur holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Dordt University in Sioux Center, Iowa. He and his family are actively involved in The Well Resource Center, where he was previously a board member. Schreur is also an elder at Third Reformed Church in Pella.
